I’m Shirley, the creative mind behind By Shirls 😎
I started this studio to work closely with ambitious, inspiring business owners and bring their vision to life through thoughtful, purpose-led design.
With a background in fashion design (yep, I’ve got both a BA and MA), I naturally evolved into branding and styling, blending strategy with aesthetics to create bold, distinctive identities.

I’m an avid traveller - I find inspiration everywhere, from city streets to remote coastlines which I often post on Instagram through my design reels.

Beyond design, I’m deeply passionate about teaching. I’ve hosted branding talks and workshops for designers, founders, and creatives, from intimate sessions to larger group settings, and each time, I’ve seen how powerful it is when people finally get it. When they realise that branding isn’t just about a logo or pretty visuals, but about tapping into the human psyche to build long-term business growth.

That’s exactly why my bigger vision is to become a keynote speaker in branding. I want to take the stage to reframe how people understand branding at its core. Whether it’s through speaking, teaching, or content, I want to be the go-to voice for cutting through the nonsense and bringing real clarity to the branding space.
